![]() ![]() make sense? Anyone carrying duct tape? I'm including because when I track day with my car is the first thing I put in the glovebox. Suggestion? I can work on a chain with "shop" tools, I guess it would be the same with mini tools. I've absolutely nothing on me to fix a broken chain. Does it makes sense or it will be impossible to remove the tubeless tires in the middle of the woods? I would use a Granite Rock Strap to carry these things. I actually think that 16g cartridges are not enough for 700x45c volumes, right?Įven if the tires are tubeless I'm thinking about bringing 2 tubes + tire levers + some sturdy patches as extrema ratio in case of big issues with tires. I'm carrying with me a Topeak Tubi 18 with extra bacon strips, 2 CO2 16g cartridges + inflator and a mini spoke wrench, all stashed in the Topeak Ninja Mountain bag attached to the water bottle cage. I would like to mitigate as much as possible the next issue so I'm making a list. So far the worst case scenario (that happened) is that I stop for some issue I can't solve somewhere in the middle of nothing and in the middle of the course, so like 18 km from home or work and with no alternative means of transportation around. Mixed terrains, especially in the round trips tend to include light MTB trails. Right now I'm mostly riding close to home, 35 to 40 km per ride in, or riding from home to work, 35 km single way. And I was nearly 20 km away either from the start or the destination. I've destroyed the front tube after riding the new bike for 5 km (now it's tubeless.) and the next day I had to tighten by hand the spoke nipples on the rear wheel because a lot of them were loose. Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to the gravel world but I've already experienced some. So the question is basically: what tools/items do you carry with you in your rides and where do you store them.
